Intern Wade Headrick
The Church of the Advocate/Red Door Ministry gives everyone a warm welcome to our cool fall weather! The changing of the seasons always brings new things on our horizon as the leaves fall and the seasons change. The Church of the Advocate (COA) is proud to make an announcement of positive changes as well! We welcome Wade Headrick, our new Blue Ridge Service Corps. intern, to the COA!
In addition to being a part of the internship program with the Blue Ridge Service Corps, Wade is a student in his final semester at the University of North Carolina Asheville. He is finishing his bachelor’s degree in management and is excited to be a part of the COA and to help us carry out the Advocate’s role in our community, as well as the opportunity for Wade to learn and grow.
Wade’s duties include helping with the Circle of Healing and Prayer on Tuesdays which includes giving supplies to those in need. Wade also leads our Good Works! crew by scheduling work sites, recruiting workers and of course helping with the work on the work sites. Wade helps transport his fellow workers to these sites by driving the van so that the Good Works! crew can serve in places further out of the area.
The Church of the Advocate looks forward to what the future holds with Wade as a part of our Ministry. We are excited to see what he can learn from us and what we can learn from him!
