THE RED DOOR - A Poem From A Guest
This poem was recently given to us by one of our guests- July 2019
THE RED DOOR
The Red Door is the place that saved my life
The Red Door is where I get away from traffic and strife
The Red Door is meetings where people have decades ‘clean’
The Red Door is celebrations, weddings and church that’s one of a kind
The Red Door is blessing the world in so many ways
The Red Door is love more people have shown that it pays
The Red Door has been there for me on my worst days
The Red Door is love when I needed water on ice
The Red Door is more that clergy members are so nice
The Red Door is smiles and handshakes when you come through the door
The Red Door is a church where you can’t expect any more
The Red Door is crosses you wear around your neck
The Red Door is raising your hand, shouting all ‘what the heck’
The Red Door is beautiful more than what words can say.
