A Post-Easter and Still Easter Meditation - Vicar Dena
An Easter Meditation
This drawing is a big help to me and I thought I’d share it with you. It is from Otto Scharmer and the Presencing Institute.
The U-shaped arrow tha points upward shows the process of opening our minds, our hearts and our wills to co-create the best of what the future has to offer.
The downard pointing arrow shows what happens when we close ourselves off because of fear and a sense of scarcity.
As a Christian, I find that the “U” theory coincides beautifully with the way of Christ as he came into the world and became fully present. Moving up the U can depict God calling us to enter into the Mind of Christ to live into the new creation that is open to us because of his resurrection.
Almighty and everlasting God, who in the Paschal mystery established the new covenant of reconciliation: Grant that all who have been reborn into the fellowship of Christ's Body may show forth in their lives what they profess by their faith; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
In Christ’s love,
