HOW WE CARE

Community Life - See COVID Schedule Updates HERE

WORSHIP

We gather on Sundays at 1:30pm for a traditional Episcopal worship service and The Holy Eucharist in a relaxed atmosphere. Come as you are! We invite everyone to participate and receive communion no matter where you are on your faith journey. Music for our Sunday services is provided by various community musicians and their music welcomes and enriches our worship and our lives.

SANCTUARY TIME (SUNDAYS)

Do you ever just need a place to be? Somewhere you can relax, see friends, have some coffee or a snack and participate in something that feeds your spirit? We open our doors on Sundays at 12:00 pm for just that. Our space is a relaxing and a great way to begin your Sunday afternoon!

TUESDAY'S AT THE RED DOOR - Are currently suspended.

A Circle of Healing and Prayer: This is about listening to the scripture in a different way for healing and guidance, We gather together to read the Gospel, listen, and hear what it might be saying to us personally and how we can apply it.  Counseling and Supply Closet following.

COMMUNITY MEAL / BRUNCH

Everyone is served at The Red Door. There is NO requirement to attend a worship service. A community meal is served every Sunday immediately following our worship service around 2:30 pm. On Tuesdays we offer a late breakfast, coffee and snacks beginning at 10:30 am following A Circle of Healing and Prayer. We also offer brown bags with non-perishable items for take away on Tuesdays or to those who visit us during the week.

SOLE MATE SHOE CLOSET (Sundays & TUESDAYS)

Most of our community puts many miles on their feet in a day. Maintaining healthy feet is a BIG part of remaining healthy overall. A closet stocked with new or gently used shoes in all shapes and sizes is open on Sundays.

THE BASICS SUPPLY CLOSET (TUESDAYS)

Our supply closet is open to everyone and is stocked with “The Basics”. Socks, underwear, soap, razors, shaving cream, shampoo, lotion, kleenex and toilet paper are the most requested items by those who visit us. “The Basics” are items most of us take for granted, but are not always accessible or affordable for the homeless or working poor in our community.

COUNSELING BY A LICENSED PROFESSIONAL (TUESDAYS)

Our licensed professionals offer counseling in a safe and convenient location known to the community. No fees are charged to clients. This program is mandatory for those who are members of The Good Works! Crew and available on Tuesdays at The Red Door.

GOOD WORKS! PROGRAM

Our work crews serve non-profit organizations in the greater Western North Carolina area that serve the greater good for all. Our program offers dignity through work and supportive counseling to those ready to move forward. Participation offers positive interaction in the workplace, a solid work history and hope for a better life.
