Brother John Huebner
At the invitation of Father Ham Fuller in 2012, I began a journey of ministry at the Church of the Advocate as a religious brother. Throughout the past years, I have experienced God’s love in action through the many ministry opportunities offered when walking through the Red Door. The Church of the Advocate has indeed become a place of healing, wholeness, peace, and serenity.
As a religious brother, I am required to be open to a different direction of service after long periods of time in a specific ministry. The Holy Spirit is calling me to a new ministry of working as a religious pastoral visitor to the sick and recovering. My religious order supports this new ministry.
I will continue to lead the Healing Service on Tuesdays throughout the month of January with my last day being Tuesday, January 31, 2023.
I am grateful for my years of service at the Church of the Advocate. Mother Teresa once said, “I never wanted to change the world. I only wanted to be a drop of pure water that reflects God’s love.”
Thank you for being a drop of pure water to my life and to the lives of all who walk through the Red Door.
In Christ,
Brother John Huebner
