The Red Door is a place to be in community with others, find acceptance, and create lasting friendships. You will find men, women and children who are living on the margins breaking bread and working alongside those who are well-resourced. There are no judgements. We all have something to share.
We will suspend our Sunday indoor worship service and our Tuesday Prayer Circle for a few weeks and plan to re-open on Sunday Feb. 6th. We will continue to prepare hot to-go meals on Sundays at 2:00 pm. These to-go-meals meals and Personal Supplies will be served out of our Red Door entrance on Church St.
Our Good Works! crew will continue going out into the community to offer assistance where needed.
As soon as the COVID numbers go down and the situation stabilizes, we will return to our group gatherings. We all hope that ability to have larger gatherings will return in the future but the blessings and fellowship that we can do now, will continue.

Since 1997, Church of the Advocate has been serving Asheville’s homeless by nourishing bodies and souls. While we are an outreach ministry of the Episcopal Diocese of Western North Carolina, participation in our service and programs is open to all. We hope you’ll consider getting involved as a volunteer, congregant and/or donor.
