The Red Door is a place to be in community with others, find acceptance, and create lasting friendships. You will find men, women and children who are living on the margins breaking bread and working alongside those who are well-resourced. There are no judgements. We all have something to share.

"We can do no great things – only small things with great love"
- Mother Teresa

22oct9:00 am4:00 pmThe Red Door Tuesday GatheringThis is about listening to the scripture in a different way. The Red Door carries forward the ancient (350 A.D.) monastic practice of Lectio Divina on Tuesday mornings. We gather together to read the gospel, listen to what it might be saying to us personally and how we can apply it in our own our lives. Come and experience this time of meditation, and prayer with us, with brunch, Counseling and Supply Closet following.

GIVING BACK

Since 1997, Church of the Advocate has been serving Asheville’s homeless by nourishing bodies and souls. While we are an outreach ministry of the Episcopal Diocese of Western North Carolina, participation in our service and programs is open to all. We hope you’ll consider getting involved as a volunteer, congregant and/or donor.
